UNPAC’s Gender Budget Project addresses women’s economic inequality by demystifying the provincial budget for women in Manitoba while encouraging broader participation in the budget process. UNPAC uses popular education workshops that educate women on the budget process while at the same time consulting women on their budget priorities. UNPAC also lobbies the Government of Manitoba to make gender analysis a part of the budget process and are working with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives Manitoba to create an Alternative Provincial Budget.
