On Tuesday, March 13th , the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, in conjunction with Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, launched The Building Peace, Making History Exhibit - a traveling exhibit in Ottawa.
The Canadian Voice of Women for Peace http://home.ca.inter.net/~vow/ works locally, nationally and internationally on issues related to peace, social justice, human rights and development, always seeking to promote a woman’s and a feminist’s perspective.
This exhibit, by Adams and Associates Design Consultants Inc., Toronto, marks 100 years of women’s peace building in Canada in the 20th century. It identifies Canadian women who have championed peace, Canadian women’s peace campaigns, and marks the progress of our Canadian civilization as we seek to co-create a society that values justice, women, and peace.
The exhibition will be traveling across the country. If you are interested in helping to host the exhibit in your community, contact Janis Alton at janis.alton@sympatico.ca
